This Lodge is in the perfect location between both Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. The friendly atmosphere and magnificent surroundings make you feel you are “at home” in the beautiful high sierra. The Hospitality bar with beverages and snacks is available for our guests 24 hours, help yourselves! Not Just A Room - Enjoy Montecito-Sequoia’s total experience, accommodations, delicious meals, friendly atmosphere, and fun family recreational facilities!

Special Saturday visits are available on a space available basis throughout the summer. Try a Saturday night stay, it will give you a taste of Montecito-Sequoia that is sure to bring you back!


 

Lodging Arrangements

Four Lodges 
Sequoia, Lakeview, Red Fir and Sugar Pine 
These four lodges hold up to 125 persons and offer 38 rooms housing 2,4 or 6 persons. All rooms have private baths, electric blankets, individually controlled heat and are furnished with combinations of king or queen beds, twins, or deluxe bunks.  Each lodge features a view window framing the majestic scenery unique to this area of the Sierra.

Thirteen Rustic Cabins
Each with nearby bath houses are available for those who enjoy "camping out".  Cabins have a king bed, two or three bunks, house 2 to 8 persons and have a view of the Great Western Divide or our own lake.  Cabins are insulated and equipped with electricity, carpet, wood burning stoves or heaters and linens.  There are two nearby bathhouses with plenty of hot water for showering

Delicious Buffet Meals and Hospitality
All meals are served Country Club Buffet Style. Guests dine at “Captains Tables” to enjoy open conversation with other guests and staff. You may opt to eat near the huge stone fireplaces or at a table outside on the deck overlooking the Great Western Divide.

Montecito has earned a reputation for fresh, delicious, and healthy food. All meals feature a variety of heart healthy and delicious selections. Complete breakfasts are hot off the grill, eggs, bacon, sausage or ham, hot and cold breakfast cereals, muffins or toast, fruits and a selection of juices. Hot Lunches can be enjoyed at the Lodge or you can get a lunch packed up for day trips. In particular, you will enjoy the Dinner Buffets offering two to three entrees (including one vegetarian), choice of 3 vegetables, small salad bar, dessert, and beverages.

Hospitality Bar 
One of our most popular features is our complimentary drink and snack bar, open 24 hours. Help yourselves to an array of hot and cold drinks, fresh fruits, snacks, and cold cereals. Beverages include hot coffee, tea, cold fruit drinks, milk, and water. Make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for those growing kids or as a mid-night snack.

Cocktail Bar & Social Hour
Prior to dinner we have a social hour of fresh veggies, chips, and dips for your pleasure. Mix and mingle with other guests as everyone gets ready for dinner. Youth usually enjoy cold beverages from the hospitality bar during the social hour, while the adults are free to order alcoholic or non-alcoholic mixed drink from the bar. Our small cocktail bar is well stocked with a wide variety of California wines, domestic and imported beers, and premium liquors.

Seniors & Groups Welcome
The Fall and Spring seasons are ideal times to visit the parks and enjoy nature at its best. There are easy scenic walks as well as short hikes that are more challenging for energetic hikers. Seniors often enjoy interpretative bus outings that emphasize interpretation of our High Sierra environment. We have developed senior group tours, meeting retreats, and week long adventure weeks for groups of 25 persons or more. Call for more information.

Summer Vacation Camp

 

 

Mid June to September

Return to Camp with your whole Family! Enjoy a full week of fun, relaxation, and instruction in a wide variety of activities. Rates include buffet meals, accommodations, activities, evening programs, and special activity program for ages 2 years and up! Price is all inclusive except for charges for horseback riding, waterskiing, rifelry amo, and arts and crafts supplies. Prices may vary depending on the week and number of persons in your party. Summer reservations go fast so call early for availability.

Winter Sports & Cross Country Ski Resort
The winter months bring on the snow and turn Montecito-Sequoia into a “Winter Wonderland”. Miles of groomed trails surround the lodge and extend over to the Big Meadows Area. Tracks feature two diagonal stride tracks and a 5 foot skating lane. Skiers love the fact that you can ski right from the steps of the lodge! Our system features up to 80km of groomed trails and endless backcountry. Take a snowshoe tour with our PSIA certified staff. We have a full rental shop and ski school!

Montecito-Sequoia also offers a wide variety of winter sports for the non-skier! Snowshoeing, Snowtubing with a Tow (no more walking back up the hills), Ice Skating, Snowboarding, and designated areas for snowmobiling.

Non-Snow activities are also available. A small book library, ping-pong tables, games and puzzles, music, and arts & craft projects are always available.

All Activities are weather permitting.
